We had a quite Fourth of July. I feel partly in mourning, as my country struggles against it's internal divides. I remain hopeful that as terrible as things seem, this is just a process of revealing the rotten and broken things we have been ignoring and hiding for too long. Things are not worse than they have been, they are just more visible now, which means they can be fixed.
In lieu of fireworks, the kiddo and I made a kaleidoscope out of mirror shards. Broken repetitions of a single, pinhole view.
